MINOR CLUB MEDAL PRESENTATIONS
Cratloe Minor Club held their medal and award presentation nights recently. The U10 Lenmac hurlers and U11 ground hurlers were presented their medals by Jackie O’Gorman in the Community Hall. Jackie congratulated all the players on having done so well during the year and encouraged all to continue practising and training as much as possible.
The presentation to the older members of the minor club was held in Setrights. The evening was hosted by Chairperson Eileen Murphy who congratulated all members on a very successful year. She thanked all who had contributed in any way during the year and encouraged more parents to get involved. She welcomed guest of honour Clare hurling Manager Tony Considine and thanked him for coming and wished him every success in his new post. Tony presented medals to the U14B footballers, U16B hurlers and Minor B hurlers and footballers. He presented awards for outstanding achievements during 2006 to Naomi Carroll and Wesley DeLoughrey.
The Hurling and Football players of the year were presented U14 hurling Padraig Collins, U14 Football Niall Crosbie, U16 Hurling Liam Markham, U16 Football Jamie Joyce, Minor Hurling Sean Collins, and Minor Football Kevin Hartnett. The overall player of the year award was presented to Sean Collins who also played senior hurling and football during the year.
